Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Harlem Huskies (Machesney Park, IL) and the host Freeport Pretzels (Freeport, IL), saw Harlem's basketball squad hold off Freeport by a count of 50-43.

With the victory, Harlem upgrades its record to 20-8 on the campaign. The Huskies travel to DeKalb (DeKalb, IL) to play the Barbs in a non-league challenge on Saturday, February 4. The Barbs come into the challenge with a record of 11-16. DeKalb lost 67-35 in their recent league challenge against Naperville Central (Naperville, IL)

Next up, the Pretzels play the Orangeville Broncos (Orangeville, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, February 7. Freeport will attempt to upgrade on its 7-22 season record. The Broncos come into the challenge with a 24-4 record after their 51-23 league win over Pearl City (Pearl City, IL).
