Virginia High School Basketball - Glenvar knocked off by Salem

The Salem Spartans basketball team scored 49 points and held the visiting Glenvar Highlanders to 35 in the Spartans non-league triumph on Friday.
The Spartans now sport a 15-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Pulaski County for a River Ridge contest on Tuesday, February 7. Salem will battle a Cougars team coming off a 76-43 league win over Cave Spring (Roanoke, VA). The Cougars record now stands at 18-3.
The Highlanders (10-11) will now prepare for their contest against Northside (Roanoke, VA). The Vikings enter the non-league contest with a 9-14 record. In their last contest, Northside ran past William Byrd (Vinton, VA), 49-37, in a league contest.
