The Grand Island Vikings basketball team scored 42 points and held the host Kenmore East Bulldogs to 16 in the Vikings league triumph on Friday.

The Vikings now sport a 6-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Starpoint for a non-league contest on Saturday, February 4. Grand Island will meet a Spartans team coming off a 61-41 league win over Iroquois (Elma, NY). The Spartans record now stands at 9-6.

The Bulldogs (0-15) will now prepare for their contest against Lewiston-Porter (Youngstown, NY). The Lancers enter the Section 6 Niagara - Frontier contest with a 13-3 record. In their last contest, Lewiston-Porter triumphed over Grand Island (Grand Island, NY), 66-22, in a league contest.
