The McKinney Lions (McKinney, TX) basketball felled the host Guyer Wildcats (Denton, TX), 50-41 in Friday's league test.
The Lions (20-9) will now prepare for their test against Prosper (Prosper, TX). The Eagles go into the 6A Region I District 5 test with a 15-16 record. In their last test, Prosper was beaten by Braswell (Little Elm, TX), 53-27, in a league test.
The Wildcats now own a 12-13 record. They play next when they travel to Allen for a 6A Region I District 5 test on Saturday, February 4. Guyer will encounter a Eagles squad coming off a 65-29 league win over Prosper (Prosper, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 25-7.
