The Mound-Westonka White Hawks (Mound, MN) basketball nipped the host Hutchinson Tigers (Hutchinson, MN), 64-60 in Friday's league test.

The White Hawks (10-7) will now prepare for their test against New Ulm (New Ulm, MN). The Eagles go into the non-league test with a 14-6 record. In their last test, New Ulm got by Worthington (Worthington, MN), 88-38, in a league test.

The Tigers now own a 5-13 record. They play next when they travel to Southwest Christian for a non-league test on Saturday, February 4. Hutchinson will encounter a Stars squad coming off a 73-52 non-league loss to Providence Academy (Plymouth, MN). The Stars record now stands at 14-5.
