Klein Cain Hurricanes (Houston, TX) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Waller Bulldogs (Waller, TX), 49-48 in a league bout.

With the victory, Klein Cain upgrades its record to 7-22 on the campaign. The Hurricanes host Tomball (Tomball, TX) to play the Cougars in a 6A Region II District 15 bout on Tuesday, February 7. The Cougars come into the bout with a record of 20-13. Tomball lost 62-30 in their recent league bout against Klein Collins (Spring, TX)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Tomball Memorial Wildcats (Tomball, TX) in a 6A Region II District 15 bout, on Tuesday, February 7. Waller will attempt to upgrade on its 8-28 season record. The Wildcats come into the bout with a 28-7 record after their 45-38 league win over Klein Oak (Spring, TX).
