Monroe Trojans (Monroe, MI) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Lincoln Railsplitters (Ypsilanti, MI), 41-40 in a league bout.

With the win, Monroe upgrades its record to 5-11 on the season. The Trojans host Saline (Saline, MI) to play the Hornets in a Southeastern - Red bout on Tuesday, February 7. The Hornets go into the bout with a record of 15-2. Saline won 51-16 in their recent league bout against Skyline (Ann Arbor, MI)

Next up, the Railsplitters play the Dexter Dreadnaughts (Dexter, MI) in a Southeastern - Red bout, on Tuesday, February 7. Lincoln will attempt to upgrade on its 6-9 season record. The Dreadnaughts go into the bout with a 11-5 record after their 55-40 league win over Huron (Ann Arbor, MI).
