New York High School Basketball - Maple Hill can't hold off Watervliet

The Watervliet Cannoneers basketball team scored 42 points and restricted the host Maple Hill Wildcats to 35 in the Cannoneers league victory on Friday.
The Cannoneers now sport a 12-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Coxsackie-Athens for a Section 2 Patroon contest on Tuesday, February 7. Watervliet will battle a Riverhawks team coming off a 48-28 league win over Chatham (Chatham, NY). The Riverhawks record now stands at 12-3.
The Wildcats (11-6) will now prepare for their contest against Rensselaer (Rensselaer, NY). The Rams come into the Section 2 Patroon contest with a 4-10 record. In their last contest, Rensselaer was nudged by Voorheesville (Voorheesville, NY), 75-57, in a non-league contest.
