Paris Greyhounds (Paris, KY) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Montgomery County Indians (Mt. Sterling, KY), 40-37 in a league bout.

With the victory, Paris upgrades its record to 12-4 on the campaign. The Greyhounds host Bourbon County (Paris, KY) to play the Colonels in a District 40 bout on Saturday, February 4. The Colonels come into the bout with a record of 7-12.

Next up, the Indians play the Nicholas County Bluejackets (Carlisle, KY) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 7. Montgomery County will attempt to upgrade on its 16-10 season record. The Bluejackets come into the bout with a 9-9 record after their 53-42 non-league loss to Madison Central (Richmond, KY).
