Virginia High School Basketball - Turner Ashby trounces Rockbridge County

The Turner Ashby Knights (Bridgewater, VA) basketball crushed the host Rockbridge County Wildcats (Lexington, VA), 55-24 in Friday's league test.

The Knights (15-5) will now prepare for their test against Spotswood (Penn Laird, VA). The Trailblazers go into the Valley test with a 17-3 record. In their last test, Spotswood walloped Fluvanna County (Palmyra, VA), 66-37, in a non-league test.

The Wildcats now own a 2-19 record. They play next when they travel to Broadway for a Valley test on Tuesday, February 7. Rockbridge County will encounter a Gobblers squad coming off a 62-34 league win over Harrisonburg (Harrisonburg, VA). The Gobblers record now stands at 12-9.
