The South Medford Panthers (Medford, OR) basketball knocked off the host Sheldon Irish (Eugene, OR), 59-50 in Friday's league test.
The Panthers (18-2) will now prepare for their test against Roseburg (Roseburg, OR). The Indians go into the 6A Southwest test with a 7-8 record. In their last test, Roseburg went down by Sheldon (Eugene, OR), 45-16, in a league test.
The Irish now own a 11-9 record. They play next when they travel to Willamette for a 6A Southwest test on Tuesday, February 7. Sheldon will encounter a Wolverines squad coming off a 49-31 league win over Grants Pass (Grants Pass, OR). The Wolverines record now stands at 14-4.
