In Friday's non-league outing, the Southwestern Warriors (Somerset, KY) basketball squad edged the host Somerset Briar Jumpers (Somerset, KY), by a count of 36-29.

The Warriors (15-9) will now prepare for their outing against Anderson County (Lawrenceburg, KY). The Bearcats go into the non-league outing with a 20-4 record. In their last outing, Anderson County held off Lexington Catholic (Lexington, KY), 72-40, in a non-league outing.

The Briar Jumpers now hold a 12-9 record. They play next when they travel to Whitley County for a non-league outing on Saturday, February 4. Somerset will clash with a Colonels squad coming off a 71-31 league loss to South Laurel (London, KY). The Colonels record now stands at 5-11.
