Spencer Tigers (Spencer, IA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Storm Lake Tornadoes (Storm Lake, IA), 62-47 in a league bout.

With the win, Spencer upgrades its record to 14-3 on the season. The Tigers travel to South Central Calhoun (Lake City, IA) to play the Titans in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 4. The Titans go into the bout with a record of 13-4. South Central Calhoun won 58-45 in their recent league bout against Northwest Webster (Manson, IA)

Next up, the Tornadoes play the Le Mars Bulldogs (Le Mars, IA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, February 9. Storm Lake will attempt to upgrade on its 6-11 season record.
