Sycamore War Eagles (Pleasant View, TN) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Stewart County Rebels (Dover, TN), 49-33 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Sycamore upgrades its record to 15-7 on the season. The War Eagles host White House-Heritage (White House, TN) to play the Patriots in a 2A District 9 bout on Saturday, February 4. The Patriots go into the bout with a record of 7-17. White House-Heritage lost 54-43 in their recent league bout against Fairview (Fairview, TN)

Next up, the Rebels play the Waverly Central Tigers (Waverly, TN) in a 2A District 11 bout, on Tuesday, February 7. Stewart County will attempt to upgrade on its 5-15 season record.
