Volunteer Falcons (Church Hill, TN) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Sullivan East Patriots (Bluff City, TN), 70-42 in a league bout.

With the victory, Volunteer upgrades its record to 7-16 on the campaign. The Falcons travel to Tennessee (Bristol, TN) to play the Vikings in a 3A District 1 bout on Tuesday, February 7. The Vikings come into the bout with a record of 13-14. Tennessee won 59-43 in their recent non-league bout against Virginia High (Bristol, VA)

Next up, the Patriots play the Unicoi County Blue Devils (Erwin, TN) in a 3A District 1 bout, on Tuesday, February 7. Sullivan East will attempt to upgrade on its 7-17 season record. The Blue Devils come into the bout with a 11-12 record after their 73-59 non-league loss to Hampton (Hampton, TN).
