In Friday's league battle, the host Nederland Bulldogs soccer squad scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Goose Creek Memorial Patriots.
The Bulldogs (3-4) will now prepare for their battle against Crosby (Crosby, TX). The Cougars come into the 5A Region 3 District 17 battle with a 4-1 record. In their last battle, Crosby was nudged by Port Neches-Groves (Port Neches, TX), 7-0, in a league battle.
The Patriots (3-3) will now prepare for their battle against Sterling (Baytown, TX). The Rangers come into the 5A Region 3 District 17 battle with a 6-1 record.
