The crowd at Friday's league test between the Harlingen Cardinals (Harlingen, TX) and the visiting Weslaco Panthers (Weslaco, TX), saw Harlingen's soccer squad knock off Weslaco by a count of 2-0.

The Cardinals now hold a 5-1 record. They play next when they travel to Hanna for a 6A Region 4 District 32 test on Tuesday, February 7. Harlingen will meet a Golden Eagles squad coming off a 2-0 league win over San Benito (San Benito, TX). The Golden Eagles record now stands at 9-4.

With the loss, Weslaco drops to 8-3 on the season. The Panthers host Los Fresnos (Los Fresnos, TX) to meet the Falcons in a 6A Region 4 District 32 test on Tuesday, February 7. The Falcons come into the test with a record of 7-5. Los Fresnos won 9-1 in their recent league test against Rivera (Brownsville, TX)
