The crowd at Friday's league test between the Lufkin Panthers (Lufkin, TX) and the visiting Porter Spartans (Porter, TX), saw Lufkin's soccer squad knock off Porter by a margin of 4-1.

The Panthers now sport a 7-4 record. They play next when they travel to Dayton for a 5A Region 2 District 16 test on Friday, February 10. Lufkin will meet a Broncos squad coming off a 2-0 league loss to Nacogdoches (Nacogdoches, TX). The Broncos record now stands at 2-4.

With the loss, Porter drops to 7-2 on the season. The Spartans host Kingwood Park (Kingwood, TX) to meet the Panthers in a 5A Region 2 District 16 test on Friday, February 10. The Panthers come into the test with a record of 9-1. Kingwood Park won 7-0 in their recent league test against Huntsville (Huntsville, TX)
