In Friday's non-league test, the visiting Chippewa Falls Cardinals ice hockey team scored a tight 2-1 win over the Menomonie Mustangs.
The Cardinals (6-5) will now prepare for their test against River Falls (River Falls, WI). The Wildcats enter the non-league test with a 4-11 record. In their last test, River Falls held off Rice Lake (Rice Lake, WI), 5-3, in a non-league test.
Next up, the Mustangs encounter the Eau Claire Memorial Old Abes (Eau Claire, WI) in a non-league test, on Wednesday, February 8. Menomonie will attempt to advance on its 4-12 season record. The Old Abes enter the test with a 10-4 record after their 6-0 non-league win over Eau Claire North (Eau Claire, WI).
