The Alameda Hornets basketball team scored 69 points and held the host Berkeley Yellowjackets to 53 in the Hornets league triumph on Friday.
The Hornets now sport a 17-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Castro Valley for a contest on Wednesday, February 8. Alameda will meet a Trojans team coming off a 55-52 league loss to San Leandro (San Leandro, CA). The Trojans record now stands at 5-9.
The Yellowjackets (14-11) will now prepare for their contest against St. Joseph Notre Dame (Alameda, CA). The Pilots enter the contest with a 16-6 record. In their last contest, St. Joseph Notre Dame ran past San Leandro (San Leandro, CA), 80-60, in a league contest.
