Elkin Buckin' Elks (Elkin, NC) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Alleghany Trojans (Sparta, NC), 38-28 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Elkin upgrades its record to 9-11 on the campaign. The Buckin' Elks host Starmount (Boonville, NC) to play the Rams in a bout on Monday, February 6. The Rams come into the bout with a record of 9-9. Starmount lost 52-41 in their recent league bout against South Stokes (Walnut Cove, NC)

Next up, the Trojans play the Starmount Rams (Boonville, NC) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 7. Alleghany will attempt to upgrade on its 0-14 season record. The Rams come into the bout with a 10-9 record after their 38-34 league win over Elkin (Elkin, NC).
