The Independence 76ers (San Jose, CA) basketball knocked off the host Branham Bruins (San Jose, CA), 58-50 in Friday's league test.
The 76ers (5-8) will now prepare for their test against Lincoln (San Jose, CA). The Lions go into the test with a 15-5 record. In their last test, Lincoln notched a victory over Leigh (San Jose, CA), 46-45, in a league test.
The Bruins now own a 6-12 record. They play next when they travel to Piedmont Hills for a test on Wednesday, February 8. Branham will encounter a Pirates squad coming off a 58-50 league win over Pioneer (San Jose, CA). The Pirates record now stands at 8-10.
