Cardinal Gibbons Crusaders (Raleigh, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Broughton Capitals (Raleigh, NC), 57-46 in a league bout.

With the win, Cardinal Gibbons upgrades its record to 18-2 on the season. The Crusaders travel to Athens Drive (Raleigh, NC) to play the Jaguars in a bout on Tuesday, February 7. The Jaguars go into the bout with a record of 14-8. Athens Drive lost 50-46 in their recent league bout against Leesville Road (Raleigh, NC)

Next up, the Capitals play the Enloe Eagles (Raleigh, NC) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 7. Broughton will attempt to upgrade on its 12-8 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 6-12 record after their 59-15 league win over Sanderson (Raleigh, NC).
