Hertford County Bears (Ahoskie, NC) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Camden County Bruins (Camden, NC), 51-42 in a league bout.

With the victory, Hertford County upgrades its record to 9-8 on the campaign. The Bears travel to Manteo (Manteo, NC) to play the Redskins in a bout on Tuesday, February 7. The Redskins come into the bout with a record of 3-13. Manteo lost 75-35 in their recent non-league bout against Northeastern (Elizabeth City, NC)

Next up, the Bruins play the Holmes Aces (Edenton, NC) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 7. Camden County will attempt to upgrade on its 2-13 season record.
