Fans at Friday's league challenge between the West Johnston Wildcats (Benson, NC) and the visiting C.B. Aycock Golden Falcons (Pikeville, NC), saw West Johnston's basketball squad hold off C.B. Aycock by a tally of 60-55.

With the victory, West Johnston improves its record to 5-11 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Hunt (Wilson, NC) to confront the Warriors in a challenge on Tuesday, February 7. The Warriors come into the challenge with a record of 10-8. Hunt lost 46-40 in their recent league challenge against South Johnston (Four Oaks, NC)

Next up, the Golden Falcons confront the Smithfield-Selma Spartans (Smithfield, NC) in a challenge, on Tuesday, February 7. C.B. Aycock will attempt to improve on its 13-8 season record.
