The Monticello Mustangs basketball team scored 39 points and restricted the visiting Charlottesville Black Knights to 20 in the Mustangs non-league victory on Friday.

The Mustangs now sport a 14-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Goochland for a non-league contest on Monday, February 6. Monticello will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 43-39 non-league loss to Orange County (Orange, VA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 7-8.

The Black Knights (5-7) will now prepare for their contest against Orange County (Orange, VA). The Fighting Hornets come into the non-league contest with a 7-7 record. In their last contest, Orange County prevailed over Goochland (Goochland, VA), 43-39, in a non-league contest.
