Chavez Titans (Delano, CA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Taft Wildcats (Taft, CA), 49-42 in a league bout.

With the win, Chavez upgrades its record to 5-3 on the season.

Next up, the Wildcats play the Wasco Tigers (Wasco, CA) in a bout, on Tuesday, February 7. Taft will attempt to upgrade on its 14-7 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 3-2 record after their 48-47 league win over McFarland (McFarland, CA).
