The Croatan Cougars basketball team (Newport, NC), was overwhelmed 64-21 in Friday's non-league battle with the host West Carteret Patriots (Morehead City, NC)
The Patriots now possess a 13-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Richlands for a non-league battle on Tuesday, February 7. West Carteret will confront a Wildcats team coming off a 59-48 non-league loss to White Oak (Jacksonville, NC). The Wildcats record now stands at 10-5.
The Cougars (8-11) will now prepare for their battle against Swansboro (Swansboro, NC). The Pirates come into the non-league battle with a 10-3 record.
