North Carolina High School Basketball - Gates County knocked off by Washington County

The Washington County Panthers basketball team scored 65 points and held the host Gates County Red Barons to 53 in the Panthers league triumph on Friday.
The Panthers now sport a 10-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Riverside-Martin for a contest on Tuesday, February 7. Washington County will meet a Knights team coming off a 78-58 non-league win over Southside (Chocowinity, NC). The Knights record now stands at 14-1.
The Red Barons (4-9) will now prepare for their contest against South Creek (Robersonville, NC). The Cougars enter the non-league contest with a 5-10 record. In their last contest, South Creek was outscored by Tarboro (Tarboro, NC), 67-47, in a non-league contest.
