Lakewood Leopards (Roseboro, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Hobbton Wildcats (Newton Grove, NC), 58-45 in a league bout.

With the win, Lakewood upgrades its record to 12-6 on the season. The Leopards host Clinton (Clinton, NC) to clash with the Dark Horses in a non-league bout on Monday, February 6. The Dark Horses go into the bout with a record of 3-11. Clinton lost 33-28 in their recent non-league bout against St. Pauls (St. Pauls, NC)

Next up, the Wildcats clash with the Union Spartans (Rose Hill, NC) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 7. Hobbton will attempt to upgrade on its 7-9 season record.
