Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Marlboro Central Dukes (Marlboro, NY) and the host New Paltz Huguenots (New Paltz, NY), saw Marlboro Central's basketball squad hold off New Paltz by a tally of 50-47.

With the victory, Marlboro Central improves its record to 4-6 on the campaign. The Dukes travel to Red Hook (Red Hook, NY) to play the Raiders in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, February 7. The Raiders come into the challenge with a record of 5-1.

Next up, the Huguenots play the Pine Bush Bushmen (Pine Bush, NY) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, February 6. New Paltz will attempt to improve on its 2-7 season record. The Bushmen come into the challenge with a 11-4 record after their 70-32 non-league win over Valley Central (Montgomery, NY).
