Nevada Union Miners (Grass Valley, CA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Placer Hillmen (Auburn, CA), 49-28 in a league bout.

With the victory, Nevada Union upgrades its record to 14-12 on the campaign. The Miners travel to Oakmont (Roseville, CA) to play the Vikings in a bout on Wednesday, February 8. The Vikings come into the bout with a record of 5-19. Oakmont lost 74-30 in their recent league bout against Lincoln (Lincoln, CA)

Next up, the Hillmen play the West Park Panthers (Roseville, CA) in a bout, on Wednesday, February 8. Placer will attempt to upgrade on its 11-14 season record. The Panthers come into the bout with a 19-5 record after their 59-38 league win over Ponderosa (Shingle Springs, CA).
