Northwest Halifax Vikings (Littleton, NC) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting North Edgecombe Warriors (Tarboro, NC), 66-51 in a league bout.

With the victory, Northwest Halifax upgrades its record to 11-10 on the campaign. The Vikings host KIPP Pride (Gaston, NC) to play the Pride in a bout on Tuesday, February 7. The Pride come into the bout with a record of 9-4. KIPP Pride won 75-43 in their recent league bout against Rocky Mount Prep (Rocky Mount, NC)

Next up, the Warriors play the Northampton County Jaguars (Gaston, NC) in a bout, on Tuesday, February 7. North Edgecombe will attempt to upgrade on its 13-7 season record. The Jaguars come into the bout with a 6-10 record after their 75-52 league win over Southeast Halifax (Halifax, NC).
