The Monterey Plainsmen held off the host Abilene Eagles soccer squad by a margin of 1-0 in Friday's league match.
The Plainsmen now sport a 11-0 record. They play next when they travel to Wylie for a 5A Region 1 District 4 match on Tuesday, February 7. Monterey will encounter a Bulldogs squad coming off a 4-1 league win over Cooper (Abilene, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 6-6.
