Georgia High School Basketball - Calhoun County trounces Quitman County

The Calhoun County Cougars (Edison, GA) basketball crushed the visiting Quitman County Hornets (Georgetown, GA), 85-23 in Saturday's league test.
The Cougars (20-4) will now prepare for their test against Miller County (Colquitt, GA). The Pirates go into the A D2 Region 1 test with a 8-15 record. In their last test, Miller County was trounced by Mitchell County (Camilla, GA), 94-55, in a league test.
The Hornets now own a 7-11 record. They play next when they host Mitchell County for a A D2 Region 1 test on Tuesday, February 6. Quitman County will encounter a Eagles squad coming off a 94-55 league win over Miller County (Colquitt, GA). The Eagles record now stands at 18-5.
