Teays Valley Vikings (Ashville, OH) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Circleville Tigers (Circleville, OH), 47-44 in a league bout.

With the victory, Teays Valley upgrades its record to 13-4 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to Groveport-Madison (Groveport, OH) to play the Cruisers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 6. The Cruisers come into the bout with a record of 7-12. Groveport-Madison lost 56-50 in their recent league bout against Pickerington Central (Pickerington, OH)

Next up, the Tigers play the Athens Bulldogs (The Plains, OH) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, February 7. Circleville will attempt to upgrade on its 9-9 season record. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a 4-14 record after their 42-35 league loss to Alexander (Albany, OH).
