The South Umpqua Lancers (Myrtle Creek, OR) basketball nipped the visiting Coquille Red Devils (Coquille, OR), 57-53 in Saturday's league test.

The Lancers (7-11) will now prepare for their test against Days Creek (Days Creek, OR). The Wolves go into the non-league test with a 11-10 record. In their last outing, Days Creek held off Myrtle Point (Myrtle Point, OR), 59-47, in a league outing.

The Red Devils now hold a 10-12 record. They play next when they host Douglas for a 3A Far West outing on Wednesday, February 7. Coquille will clash with a Trojans squad coming off a 70-32 league win over Glide (Glide, OR). The Trojans record now stands at 17-4.
