The Hozho Academy Wolves (Gallup, NM) basketball felled the visiting Corona/Vaughn Cardinals (Corona, NM), 53-37 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Wolves (10-7) will now prepare for their test against Chesterton Academy (Albuquerque, NM). The Saints go into the non-league test with a 1-17 record. In their last test, Chesterton Academy went down by Carrizozo (Carrizozo, NM), 58-22, in a non-league test.
The Cardinals now own a 4-11 record. They play next when they travel to Alamo Navajo for a A District 3 test on Tuesday, February 6. Corona/Vaughn will encounter a Cougars squad coming off a 65-63 non-league loss to Jemez Valley (Jemez Pueblo, NM). The Cougars record now stands at 12-8.
