Hamilton County Foxes (McLeansboro, IL) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Gallatin County Hawks (Junction, IL), 48-37 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Hamilton County upgrades its record to 16-11 on the season. The Foxes host Fairfield (Fairfield, IL) to clash with the Mules in a Black Diamond - East bout on Tuesday, February 6. The Mules go into the bout with a record of 16-10. Fairfield won 77-49 in their recent league bout against Eldorado (Eldorado, IL)

Next up, the Hawks clash with the Thompsonville (Thompsonville, IL) in a Greater Egyptian bout, on Tuesday, February 6. Gallatin County will attempt to upgrade on its 12-15 season record. The go into the bout with a 4-24 record after their 58-54 non-league loss to Elverado (Elkville, IL).
