Vermont High School Basketball - Long Trail overwhelmed by Green Mountain

The Green Mountain Chieftains basketball team scored 89 points and restricted the visiting Long Trail to 44 in the Chieftains non-league victory on Saturday.
The Chieftains now sport a 9-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Woodstock for a Southern Vermont - C contest on Tuesday, February 6. Green Mountain will battle a Wasps team coming off a 78-30 league loss to White River Valley (Royalton, VT). The Wasps record now stands at 8-8.
The (6-7) will now prepare for their contest against Springfield (Springfield, VT). The Cosmos come into the non-league contest with a 7-9 record. In their last contest, Springfield triumphed over Windsor (Windsor, VT), 73-65, in a non-league contest.
