Islesboro Central Eagles (Islesboro, ME) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Vinalhaven Vikings (Vinalhaven, ME), 59-14 in a league bout.

With the win, Islesboro Central upgrades its record to 9-9 on the season. The Eagles host Buckfield (Buckfield, ME) to play the Bucks in a D South bout on Wednesday, February 7. The Bucks go into the bout with a record of 8-9. Buckfield won 64-62 in their recent league bout against Rangeley Lakes (Rangeley, ME)

Next up, the Vikings play the North Haven Hawks (North Haven, ME) in a D South bout, on Wednesday, February 7. Vinalhaven will attempt to upgrade on its 0-17 season record. The Hawks go into the bout with a 1-13 record after their 82-28 league loss to Forest Hills (Jackman, ME).
