The Stearns Minutemen basketball team (Millinocket, ME), was overwhelmed 58-28 in Saturday's league battle with the host Katahdin Cougars (Sherman Station, ME)

The Cougars now possess a 15-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Southern Aroostook for a D North battle on Tuesday, February 6. Katahdin will confront a Warriors team coming off a 65-30 league win over Wisdom (St. Agatha, ME). The Warriors record now stands at 12-5.

The Minutemen (6-11) will now prepare for their battle against Penquis Valley (Milo, ME). The Patriots come into the non-league battle with a 5-13 record. In their last battle, Penquis Valley was overwhelmed by Schenck (East Millinocket, ME), 75-50, in a non-league battle.
