Lincoln Railsplitters (Lincoln, IL) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Lanphier Lions (Springfield, IL), 46-43 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Lincoln upgrades its record to 20-7 on the season. The Railsplitters host Sacred Heart-Griffin (Springfield, IL) to play the Cyclones in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 6. The Cyclones go into the bout with a record of 9-14. Sacred Heart-Griffin lost 66-52 in their recent non-league bout against De Smet Jesuit (St. Louis, MO)

Next up, the Lions play the Cahokia Comanches (Cahokia, IL) in a non-league bout, on Monday, February 5. Lanphier will attempt to upgrade on its 14-14 season record. The Comanches go into the bout with a 1-22 record after their 61-27 league loss to Mt. Vernon (Mt. Vernon, IL).
