The St. James Wildcats (St. James, LA) basketball nipped the host Lutcher Bulldogs (Lutcher, LA), 68-67 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Wildcats (12-9) will now prepare for their test against Patterson (Patterson, LA). The Lumberjacks go into the 3A District 8 test with a 12-15 record. In their last test, Patterson was tipped by E.D. White (Thibodaux, LA), 64-62, in a league test.
The Bulldogs now own a 11-14 record. They play next when they host Newman for a non-league test on Tuesday, February 6. Lutcher will encounter a Greenies squad coming off a 68-53 non-league win over Terrebonne (Houma, LA). The Greenies record now stands at 13-10.
