Middlebury Tigers (Middlebury, VT) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Missisquoi Valley Thunderbirds (Swanton, VT), 53-33 in a league bout.

With the win, Middlebury upgrades its record to 6-9 on the season. The Tigers travel to Vergennes (Vergennes, VT) to play the Commodores in a Lake bout on Tuesday, February 6. The Commodores go into the bout with a record of 10-5. Vergennes won 73-46 in their recent league bout against Milton (Milton, VT)

Next up, the Thunderbirds play the Enosburg Falls Hornets (Enosburg Falls, VT) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 6. Missisquoi Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 8-8 season record. The Hornets go into the bout with a 0-16 record after their 48-39 league loss to Mt. Abraham (Bristol, VT).
