In Saturday's non-league outing, the Minico Spartans (Rupert, ID) basketball squad beat the visiting Shelley Russets (Shelley, ID), by a count of 55-47.

The Spartans (9-9) will now prepare for their outing against Wood River (Hailey, ID). The Wolverines go into the 4A Great Basin outing with a 11-7 record. In their last outing, Wood River was topped by Canyon Ridge (Twin Falls, ID), 45-42, in a league outing.

The Russets now hold a 9-10 record. They play next when they host Skyline for a 4A High Country outing on Wednesday, February 7. Shelley will clash with a Grizzlies squad coming off a 69-53 league win over Bonneville (Idaho Falls, ID). The Grizzlies record now stands at 7-12.
