Moriah Vikings (Port Henry, NY) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Plattsburgh Hornets (Plattsburgh, NY), 70-69 in a league bout.

With the win, Moriah upgrades its record to 12-1 on the season. The Vikings host Ticonderoga (Ticonderoga, NY) to play the Sentinels in a Section 7 Champlain Valley II bout on Tuesday, February 6. The Sentinels go into the bout with a record of 6-8. Ticonderoga lost 50-43 in their recent league bout against Saranac Lake (Saranac Lake, NY)

Next up, the Hornets play the Beekmantown Eagles (Plattsburgh, NY) in a Section 7 Champlain Valley I bout, on Tuesday, February 6. Plattsburgh will attempt to upgrade on its 8-4 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 9-4 record after their 45-41 league win over Saranac Lake (Saranac Lake, NY).
