Streator Bulldogs (Streator, IL) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Ottawa Pirates (Ottawa, IL), 53-45 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Streator upgrades its record to 21-6 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Wilmington (Wilmington, IL) to clash with the Wildcats in a Illinois Central 8 bout on Wednesday, February 7. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 15-7.

Next up, the Pirates clash with the Princeton Tigers (Princeton, IL) in a non-league bout, on Monday, February 5. Ottawa will attempt to upgrade on its 10-11 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 11-12 record after their 72-57 non-league loss to Byron (Byron, IL).
