The Summit Shasta Black Bears (Daly City, CA) basketball knocked off the visiting Pinewood Panthers (Los Altos Hills, CA), 81-69 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Black Bears (17-3) will now prepare for their test against The Nueva School (San Mateo, CA). The Mavericks go into the Private School - North test with a 13-6 record. In their last test, The Nueva School notched a victory over Design Tech (Redwood City, CA), 68-42, in a league test.

The Panthers now own a 10-10 record. They play next when they travel to Harker for a West Bay test on Tuesday, February 6. Pinewood will encounter a Eagles squad coming off a 67-66 league loss to Menlo School (Atherton, CA). The Eagles record now stands at 6-15.
