In Saturday's league outing, the Stratford Spartans (Houston, TX) basketball squad edged the visiting Memorial Mustangs (Houston, TX), by a count of 45-40.

The Spartans (18-6) will now prepare for their outing against Jersey Village (Houston, TX). The Falcons go into the outing with a 3-1 record. In their last outing, Jersey Village was tipped by Cy-Fair (Cypress, TX), 56-53, in a league challenge.

Next up, the Mustangs play the Cy-Fair Bobcats (Cypress, TX) in a challenge, on Wednesday, February 7. Memorial will attempt to improve on its 0-3 season record.
